In this case study, a biopesticides company engaged CPL Business Consultants to examine production techniques used in semi-solid-state fermentation and also to find potential manufacturing partners. CPL’s report included information on semi-solid-state fermentation techniques used and common production issues to look out for. Additionally, CPL introduced the client to a range of potential partners.

The purpose of this study was to allow a client effectively to plan both its technical process development and commercial approach to the production of biopesticides. The study detailed current technology in semi-solid-state fermentation focusing on the production of conidia from Deuteromycetes (anamorphic fungi); it itemised the key technical issues for each step in production, and it provided specific options and advice as to how to proceed.

Research in Biopesticide Semi-Solid-State Substrate Fermentation

CPL has worked on other similar projects, including on biopesticide production. You can find other examples of our work on biopesticides on this site. Please look at our PowerPoint Introduction and Brochure describing deliverables and differentiators. You can also review eight case studies.
