The objective of the study was to assess and describe the biological factors relating to plant nutrition with emphasis on water in respect of the current state of the key technologies; what technologies can generate change; what kind of change will it be; from where will change come; at what stage is the activity from which change may come. The study addressed the current state of biotechnology – molecular biology, genetic engineering and biochemical research in both the public and private sectors.
