The objective of this study was to examine the ‘state of the art’ in polymer film technology. Particular interest was given to technology that can be easily exploited for application to cheese to address existing problems and/or improve cheese ripening processes. Our client was seeking to build its expertise in coating technology and we reported on the different technologies developed and their uses, and identified potential partners for development of new products.
