Erythritol is a product that represents a very significant advance in the polyol sweetener sector. It provides fewer calories than other polyols, does not cause laxation when consumed in normal amounts and yet it is, like other polyols, non or anti-cariogenic. Thus far however, erythritol has not been found to ‘sell itself’, even after approval in the US and a number of other countries. This study sought to advise the client on how sales could be initiated as rapidly as possible in the US and to extend sales to other countries that have approved erythritol including Australia.
