AY08 Opportunities in Supercritical CO2 Extraction

Have a look at our PowerPoint Introduction and Brochure describing deliverables, differentiators and case studies. Eight case studies can also be reviewed.

Objective

The objective of this study is to assist our client in building its business by quantifying the potential market for supercritical CO2 extraction services and, insofar as is possible, by helping to identify potential customers and specific markets for those service.

The report sought to evaluate the potential of scCO2 extraction to minimize the risk to the client’s shareholders as it looked to develop its business into new markets.

Method

During the course of the study ~50 contacts were made with scCO2 companies (tollers, equipment manufacturers and those with captive customers), distributors, and potential users of scCO2 technologies in Europe, US, India and Australia/New Zealand.

The main contents of the study were based on a large number of other sources including in-house databases, government regulators, trade journals, patent databases, scientific journals and existing reports on market sectors in which scCO2 could be utilised.

CPL carried out an extensive search of scientific publications, patents, trade news, regulatory databases and clinical trials databases.

The data collected were used to assess and analyze the issues above in sufficient depth to allow strategic conclusions to be drawn.
