In this case study, a European ingredients company engaged CPL Business Consultants to assist in the implementation of a business growth strategy for the US market. CPL identified potential strategic partners and facilitated discussions to establish a business relationship.

This project formed part of a series performed for an ingredients company seeking to expand its activities in the United States. Following the assessment of its existing business strategy, the client required a number of actions to identify potential partners/collaborators for this company in the US and arrange and assist in the discussions and negotiations to bring about a change in direction and approach.

CPL assisted the client throughout this process, facilitating a road trip and taking part in meetings at the potential partner’s offices in the United States. We identified partners in ingredients that had an established marketing and sales network, a good reputation and also a culture that would align with that of the client’s home operations. CPL then screened the candidates and profiled the strongest ones in detail.  This enabled us to recommend the most suitable strategic business partner candidates for the strategy implementation.
