AW07 High Intensity Sweeteners – Voice of Customer

Background and Objective

The purpose of this project was to provide CPL’s client with greater understanding of the market for sweeteners. Our client had a portfolio of sweetener ingredients and was interested in determining the demand for different sweeteners.

Method

During the course of the project, CPL made contact with sweetener manufacturers and food and beverage companies that might be potential customers for our client. Voice of Customer surveys were completed by our contacts to provide insight into needs and expectations of sweeteners and sweetener suppliers. Surveys were also performed by the client’s own teams, enabling internal views and recommendations to be analysed in the context of customer opinions.

Additional information was obtained from CPL’s in-house databases, trade databases, public domain reports and company reports. These were used to help analyse the sweetener market landscape and to prepare case studies explaining how ingredients companies have gone about transforming themselves.

The scope of the project was global.
