CPL identified technology trends in biopesticides and biostimulants as part of a product-focused strategic review.  As a result, the client gained insights into the focus of innovation and potential areas of opportunity.

Objective

The objective of this project was to assist a client with multivariate cluster analysis of large datasets to investigate technology trends in biopesticides and biostimulants.

Method

CPL analysed large datasets (“big data”) using a proprietary platform to reveal trends in technology developments in biopesticides and biostimulants. The resulting analysis output included network map visualisations, data clusters and AI-generated taxonomies.

The cluster analysis used advanced NLP technologies coupled with Artificial Intelligence algorithms to provide insights into the dataset.

The output of this analysis required interpretation and refinement to optimise the quality of insights gained.

CPL used its expertise to define keyword lists and interpret the clusters the software produced.

Output

CPL’s experts in biopesticides and biostimulants assisted in identifying technology trends and underlying drivers, potential gaps and opportunities in specific areas through the analysis of these data. As a result, the client actioned several areas of potential interest.
