CPL Business Consultants examined the supply and health-related benefits of xanthohumol, e.g. in therapeutics, inflammation, microbial activation, metabolic syndrome and cognitive impairment.  This report was also part of  PUReOPE, an EU-funded project, which found opportunities to valorise waste streams from the brewing industry.

Method

The study used numerous sources, which included in-house databases and an extensive contact network.  For example, CPL conducted face-to-face and telephone interviews and made contacts at trade shows. Because of this, CPL gained insights that the client could not obtain independently.

Additionally, CPL used publicly available information, e.g. from government agencies, patents, scientific journals and the trade press. Furthermore, data from key industry resources provided sufficient depth for accurate analysis and guidance.

The final report was divided into two parts.  Firstly, the summary report provided the essence of CPL’s findings and recommendations. Secondly, the reference report with detailed data and its analysis.
