In this case study, CPL was engaged by an international ingredients company to provide insights into the markets for maltitol and maltodextrin. CPL provided information which supported the client’s strategic planning process. 

Objective

The objective of this market study was to provide an overview of the maltitol and maltodextrin markets. The overview includes volumes, values and prices, customers and competition and trends and uses of the two sugars.

Method

CPL’s approach was to base the main content of the study on in-house databases, publicly available information (e.g. data from government agencies, patents, scientific journals, trade press, internet etc.) and its network of contacts.

We obtained data on volumes and values, sales and trends. Interviews were carried out with those knowledgeable in both industries.
